Diana Thompson of Prudentia was invited as a speaker for this conference. She addressed conference delegates on 'Integrated Risk Management and its application to the IT industry'. Diana also delivered a 2 day IT Risk Management course to ISACA PNG members following the conference.

The International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) is dedicated to providing practical, detailed information through conferences held at both the national and international level. In May 2004, the IQPC held a conference titled 'Managing Project Portfolios'. As part of this conference, Prudentia was asked to facilitate a workshop called 'How to implement a Project Risk Profiling Framework'. Prudentia delivered a short risk management seminar for ISACA members who were preparing for the ISACA exam associated with the qualification of Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Prudentia delivered a two day risk management course for ISACA members. The course covered specialist risk management topics in Project Management and Information Technology management.

The International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) is dedicated to providing practical, detailed information through conferences held at both the national and international level.

In March 2004, the IQPC will hold a conference titled 'Identify, quantify and reduce Operational Risk'. As part of this conference, Prudentia will facilitate a workshop called 'Key Risk Indicators: Dealing with different Risk Appetites which exist in Operational Risk'.

IQPC Derivatives and Risk Management Conference The International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) is dedicated to providing practical, detailed information through conferences held at both the national and international level.

On March 9 and 10, 2004, the IQPC held a conference on Derivatives and Risk Management in Sydney, Australia. As part of this conference, Prudentia presented on the topic of Operational Risk Management, including the need to use Risk Quantification techniques to support strategic and operational decisions.

According to the conference organizers: "'Leadership of the Rings: Project Management in Middle Earth' represents our vision of the fellowship of our profession. Frodo and Sam are kindred spirits because we, too, hone our leadership skills by managing a myriad of risks. The 27th National Conference of the Association of Risk and Insurance Managers of Australasia Limited was held in Cairns in late November and early December 2003. This is the annual conference for Risk and Insurance Managers in Australia. A number of international speakers were invited including: Tetra Laval (International packaging and engineering group based in Switzerland), the Executive Risk Management Director for Park Place Entertainment Corporation in USA plus representatives from Lloyds and The Heath Lambert Group.

Prudentia was asked to facilitate a working session titled 'Risk Management in Action'. We delivered a facilitated discussion which played on the words 'Risk Management in action'. What barriers exist to implementing Risk Management and how should these barriers be overcome.

The Sydney Chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA™) hosted the 2003 Oceania Conference on Computer Audit, Control and Security (Oceania CACS). This unique event focused on the latest strategies to address business, managerial, operational, auditing and security challenges associated with information systems and technology.

We facilitated our 1 day practical course to Proactive Risk Management course for IT Professionals, as one of the post conference workshops. Course participants gained an understanding of current Risk Management Theory, were introduced to the 'Broad Brush Approach' and learnt how to obtain maximum value from applying proactive Risk Management.

The Australian Conference on Software Metrics for 2003 was held in Sydney on 3rd to 5th September 2003. This conference was held in conjunction with the 9th International Software Metrics Symposium. This was one of the main conferences in software engineering focusing on the research and practice of software measurement, and the use of data to understand, evaluate and model software engineering phenomena.

Between April 28 and May 1, 2003, the IQPC held a conference on Government Grants Management in Canberra, Australia. As part of this conference, Prudentia consultants conducted a one day workshop titled 'How to proactively manage Risk related to obtaining a Government Grant and delivering expected outcomes'.
