The International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) arrange a "Risk Management Conference for Government" in Canberra each year. Prudentia together with TAFE NSW Sydney Institute will be sponsoring a presentation as well as exhibiting during the conference. TAFE's Peter Luedecke will be delivering a talk titled "Moving from Hazard-Based Risk Management to Opportunity-Based Risk Management". The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) held its annual conference at the Gold Coast Convention Centre from 25th - 27th November 2007. Prudentia together with TAFE NSW Sydney Institute promoted its award winning risk management training program over the three days of the conference. Prudentia together with TAFE NSW Sydney Institute deliver a program of risk management education and training to selected staff across NSW Department of Commerce. The aim is to establish a critical mass base of risk knowledge and awareness at the Department Commerce in order to support the successful deployment of its risk management framework. The quality and value of this learning and development program was recognised during December 2006. The NSW Department of Commerce was the recipient of the Public Sector Risk Management Award for Excellence. The Award was made by Treasurer Michael Costa at the annual Public Sector Risk Management Association (PSRMA) function. The promotional flyer for the course is accessible here.  [Acrobat PDF 215K]

The International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) is dedicated to providing practical, detailed information through conferences held at both the national and international level. In May 2005, IQPC will hold a conference titled 'IT Governance 2005'. Diana Thompson will speak on the importance of Knowledge Management and its relevance to Risk Management.
